This blog started as a way for our family to document our 8-month world trip in 2014 and as a way for family and friends to see what we were up to.  We returned home in October 2014 and the matriarch (ME!) decided to continue on blogging.  This is a travel blog seen through a wide lens to include cooking, conservation, budgeting, homeschooling and pretty much anything else that ties in.  It’s about ditching work and heading out but also about living a travel-centric life if and when you find yourself at home.

Firstborn, Lastborn

Firstborn, Lastborn

We are a large, close knit, adventurous homeschooling family from Canada.  Our family consists of:

Always curious wife – She Who Must Be Obeyed (but rarely is!)

Wonderful husband who gets dragged on all the adventures – Fahbio

Film and photography interested 18yr old girl – Firstborn

Adrian Mole-esque 15yr old boy – Onlyboy

Coming of age 13yr old girl – Paris

Constantly singing 10yr old girl – Venice

Determined trekker 6yr old girl – Lastborn

We like art, being outdoors, staying active, meeting new people and connecting with old friends.  Our hobbies are cooking, skiing, reading, and creating.

  1. I’ve never come across a blog like this and am so intrigued. I think it’s amazing you’ve undergone a family trip like this, especially with so many of you. Very inspiring.
